International Day

Yay International Day!

I tried food from: Korea, Bangladesh, the Netherlands, Canada, Hong Kong, several Chinese provinces, Malaysia, and Slovakia.

And everyone loved our apple cobbler! It was almost as good as the kind one Canadian guy's grandmother makes! All those hours spent toiling away were worth it!

The smaller, less-attractive board that we ran out of decorations for.

The canteen unexpectedly provided fries and ketchup.
In case apple cobbler turned out to be a failure?

We thought we hadn't cooked enough cobbler, but we ended up with extra. So we probably could have scooped more generous portions.
Then again, if we hadn't run out of forks towards the end, we could have continued handing out samples. My friend ended up giving whole pies away...

I would have been greedy and kept them.

I missed seeing most of the performances because I was taking my turn at scooping cobbler.

Clockwise from left: Apple Cobbler, Uncle Sam Mug Leftover from Previous International Day, Slideshow of America, Voting Box, Ballots, Candy Corn (Hong Kong doesn't sell it!), Jack O' Lantern

I spent 20 minute in line and arrived 2 minutes late to class for this.
And I don't regret it.
(it's a type of Hong Kong candy from the 50s)
